In an increasingly centralized world, where technology is controlled by a small number of companies, it is becoming easier for those companies to silence dissent and control the population. This is evident in recent cases where Amazon, Airbnb, PayPal, and banks have shut down accounts or services for people who hold unpopular political views.

This is anti-capitalist. These companies are either being coerced by the government to enact these policies, or they are doing so of their own accord in order to virtue signal and gain favor with the political establishment. Either way, this is a dangerous trend that threatens our freedom of speech and our right to participate in the free market.

The political elites will continue to gain and exert control using these methods. That is why we need a peer-to-peer digital payment network that the government cannot control. Bitcoin is the only such network that exists.
