lhan Omar is Getting EXACTLY What She Deserves

by | October 25, 2026

“She didn’t just fail to assimilate. She imported the operating system she came from and started running it here — and the country that gave her family refuge, citizenship, and a congressional seat has been footing the bill ever since.”

Ilhan Omar said people like Charlie Kirk belong in the dustbin of history.

After he was murdered, the same people who used that language spent the next year telling everyone else they were the problem for noticing it.

She came here as a refugee. Her father was a colonel in the army of the Marxist regime that killed hundreds of thousands of Somalis, likely participated in that genocide.
We America, gave that family a new life, citizenship pathways, and a congressional seat. She spent the next decade treating the country that took them in like an open buffet and you get to be contemptuous of the chefs, and demand Somali flavor.

“Some people did some things.” That was her line on 9/11. Years later she had a chance to clarify it. Instead she turned herself into the victim.

Now the same pattern is showing up in the Minneapolis meal-program fraud that funneled tens of millions—much of it tied to Somali networks—while she kept defending the system that made it possible.

She didn’t just fail to assimilate. She imported the operating system she came from and started running it here.

Public reporting and court records show the Feeding Our Future case in Minnesota became one of the largest COVID-era frauds in the country. Hundreds of Millions in federal meal money was diverted. Almost all the defendants were Somali.
Some of the money was wired overseas, or brought in suitcases from the Minneapolis airport to Somali, some of it ending up in the hands of Al Shabbab Al Qaeda linked terrorists.
Omar’s office and political orbit sat in the middle of the community that produced the highest concentration of those cases. She has never treated that as a serious problem she helped create or enable. She treats criticism of it as an attack on her identity.

That’s not representation. That’s extraction.

Then there’s the biography. Multiple outlets that face real defamation risk have reported she used different names and family details at different times. Her father’s naturalization records have not been produced in the clear way most Americans would expect for a sitting member of Congress whose origin story is central to her brand. These are not anonymous blog posts. These are published claims that have not been successfully sued into silence.

She has spent years telling Americans they are bigoted for noticing the gap between the story she sells and the record that exists. The people who actually fled Marxist regimes—or whose families did—know the difference between a refugee who is grateful and one who treats the host country as a temporary resource.

Omar has been clear about which one she is. She has attacked free-speech norms, defended positions that treat American security concerns as optional, and framed every scrutiny of Somali-linked fraud or immigration patterns as racism. The same congresswoman who said Charlie Kirk belongs in the dustbin of history has never applied that standard to the regime her own family came from or the fraud networks that later appeared in her district.

If you don’t like the rules, the speech, or the culture of the country that took you in, you are free to leave. If you stay and spend your time importing the corruption and the political habits of the place you left, then the people who actually value the freedom and property rights they were given here are not obligated to pretend this is normal.

She is getting exactly the political and legal pressure she has spent years earning. For those of us whose families came here and treated the opportunity as something to protect rather than something to loot, watching the process play out is not cruelty. It’s overdue.
And remember what she and her Blue Team members said when Donald Trump was indicted for made up crimes, “No one is above the law.”
Her crimes aren’t made up, and neither is her hatred for America.
