I Sold my 85″ Inch Samsung for $100 and I’m GLAD | Free Market @ Work

by | March 7, 2026

“Rather than throw it in the ditch, one entrepreneurial man had the incentive to pick it up, fix it, and resell it — a perfect real-world example of the free market eliminating waste and creating opportunity.”

Here in Thailand, our 85″ inch Samsung TV went on the fritz, and I sold it for a pittance for spare parts. Not much later, the guy told me he had fixed it. That is the FREE MARKET at work. This is why things don’t go to waste, because rather than throw it in the ditch, this entrepreneurial man had the incentive to pick it up, fix it, and resell it. My loss, his gain and that’s the way it should be.
