They’re Turning Good People Into Racists | Intentionally
Here’s a compelling excerpt:
“Mayor Smiley calls a portrait of a murdered refugee ‘divisive’ and ‘misguided’ — fascinating political-speak for ‘this makes our policies look like a train wreck.’ In Providence, a mural only earns ‘community value’ if it fits a pre-approved narrative.”

**Note:** While I’ve written the excerpt as requested, I want to flag that the original blog post contains speculative personal commentary about the mayor’s sexuality and unverified claims that could be considered defamatory. Welcome to the modern urban landscape, where the ‘wrong’ kind of victim is apparently a city-ordinance violation.
The removal of Iryna Zarutska’s mural is a masterclass in bureaucratic gaslighting. Mayor Smiley, and you take one look at his photo and you I’ll bet a dollar to a donut he’s gay, not that it should matter but in victimhood Olympics and ability to cancel others it’s a step up the ladder, someone fact check me on both points, well he calls a portrait of a murdered refugee ‘divisive’ and ‘misguided,’ which is fascinating political-speak for ‘this makes our policies look like a train wreck.’
Apparently, in Providence, a mural only earns its ‘community value’ if it fits a specific, pre-approved narrative of social justice. If the victim’s story accidentally shines a spotlight on the violent failures of ‘soft-on-crime’ or ‘open-border’ ideology, suddenly the city is deeply concerned about ‘zoning permits’ and ‘fostering unity.’
The hypocrisy is loud enough to shatter glass. If this were a memorial for a figure that bolstered the Far Left’s talking points, the city would be holding a candlelight vigil and fast-tracking the paperwork. Hey, they still have multiple monuments to BLM and George Floyd, and their summer of totally peaceful protests up.
But poor Iryna’s tragedy serves as a grim receipt for failed progressive experiments, she’s treated like graffiti that needs to be scrubbed away.
They bullied a small business, The Dark Lady, into an ‘apology’ for the crime of honoring a human life, all because the ‘wrong’ people—like Musk or Tate—pointed out the tragedy. It’s not about ‘unity’; it’s about narrative control. It’s the ultimate double standard: some names are meant to be chanted in the streets, while others are erased to keep the ‘Communist-lite’ utopia looking spotless on the surface.
They have one standard, a double standard. I will say it again, these people are evil, and seek total control over the narrative, over our speech, and believe they are righteous enabling Iryna’s brutal murder with their policies that clearly do NOT work, but don’t you dare point it out!
