The drug companies takeover of the medical profession, media, and the regulatory apparatus continues unabated.
CBS tweets out.
Obesity affects nearly 20% of kids and teens in the U.S. and about 42% of adults, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
Aaron Kelly, co-director of the Center for Pediatric Obesity Medicine at the University of Minnesota.
“Obesity is not a lifestyle problem. It is not a lifestyle disease,” he said. “It predominately emerges from biological factors.”
Yeah, it’s biology, right? In the 80’s and 90’s, very few kids were fat. now 20% are OBESE. Biology changed over that time, or did our diets, portions, and exercise.
Oh, but don’t look at those things, that which is within your control. Not when we have a profit motive to shill drugs who have been largely ineffective, and SSRI’s are now being questioned to cure depression.
Once again, in order to profit off you, the media wants you to drop personal agency, being self reliant.
It is the growing trend, that you should be able to pop a pill to cure your obesity, cash an inflationary stimulus check, and orgasm to a virtual reality porn, and when you get depressed because there is no growth or meaning in your life, that’s when you take the SSRI anti-depressant. And if you run out of money to support these habits, and your in Canada, then the country will help you end your life.
Or you can take the red pill, and take personal responsibility and simply watch what you eat and go out there and exercise. Of course, don’t be surprised if the powers that be call you irresponsible for taking personal responsibility and exercising self agency. After all, doing so, pun intended, doesn’t fatten their bottom line.
