It’s our job, the Blue Team, to save y’all.
And who is the they/them we’re heroically throwing the life ring to, keeping them from drowning amidst the tsunami of racism being directed at them. Hint: they’re not exactly known for Olympic-level self-sufficiency in the water … on account of greater bone density making swimming a challenge and all—Remember it’s just science… follow the Science.

If you think I’m talking about Mexicans (Family Feud) —no way, have you seen them swim the Rio Grande, I’m talking about our cherished Black communities of course! those disaffected minorities who’ve been held back not by choice, but by the sheer hue of their skin in this oh-so-unfair world; the one immutable barrier no amount of personal effort can ever overcome—thank goodness we’re here to remind them over and over until it seeps into their brains permanently that are not responsible and to turn to us for help.

Bless ’em, they simply can’t navigate the labyrinth of getting an ID without a guiding hand from enlightened souls like us. It’s systemic, darling—centuries of oppression, plus a terrible school system where in some, a certain percentage are unable to read. What percent do I mean … in many cases 0%.

They’re starting miles behind, and who else but the Party of Progress™ to lace up the catch-up sneakers? And may I add, we’ve been running the catch-up program for 60+ years and the gap is still there—clearly more funding is the answer.

Imagine it: A proud Black voter, full of fire and potential, staring down the dragon that is the DMV. Lines longer than a Corey Booker filibuster, forms more confusing than a tax code rewrite—without our white-savior—er, I mean, ally-savior—operatives organizing voter drives, providing the rides, and basically holding their hand through the process, how on earth would they manage? We’re not pandering; we’re partnering!
It’s about empathy, not exploitation. And let’s be real: This has zilch to do with “watering down” votes with some imaginary illegals slipping in—nope, that’s just GOP gaslighting. We’re amplifying those voices, turning up the volume on democracy to 11— so every syllable counts.
Subverting a bill that 80% supposedly supports? Pshaw! Those polls clearly forgot to survey the real experts: us, who know that some folks—due to no fault of their own, just the color lottery they lost—lack the agency to go it alone. They need the state’s warm embrace, our operatives’ expertise, to rise above.

And here’s the kicker, folks: While we’re out here bending over backward with love and support, the Racist Republicans have the temerity to tell you, “everyone should just get an ID” ; like it’s no big deal nonsense.
I think of all the brothers I played basketball with
Ronnie … Big Fletch … Rico and Ervin … Shaquille … you mean to tell me that you think any of these guys are capable of getting an ID and it’s their responsibility to do so? Because if you do, if you think it’s their fault that they don’t have ID’s , then that’s because you are racist. Go on then, vote team red if you think that. You uncompassionate bigot, you don’t know what these men have been through.
Acknowledging historical barriers makes us fair and equitable. And if you think, any one of these men can rise above the challenge of reading AND filling the form, then you belong in the Jim Crow South. I’m tired of your racism, and pretending equality is a DIY project rather than something that must be a directive of centralized all powerful government.
We’re the ones caring so deeply it hurts, ensuring no minority is left behind… unless, of course, they vote red. Then they’re house “n_ggers”
